The Diversity Tourism Academy is an online education platform designed to equip underrepresented tourism & hospitality small and micro-enterprises (SMEs), cultural organizations, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students—with the tools and training needed to thrive in the travel and tourism industry.
Who is the Academy designed for?
DTA is designed to support tourism businesses, cultural institutions, heritage sites, aspiring entrepreneurs, and public or private organizations seeking to build inclusive, sustainable tourism capacity for this segment of suppliers.
What is included in each course?
Each course includes self-paced video lessons, downloadable workbooks, case studies, reflection questions, and homework activities to support application of the course content to real-world business challenges.
How long do participants have to complete a course?
Participants who enroll in one course only have six (6) months from the date of enrollment to complete the course at their own pace. Academy members have full access to our library of courses for 12 months.
Can participants take the course as a group?
Yes. Group learning is encouraged, especially for teams within museums or organizations. We recommend group discussions after each module or upon completion of the course to share insights and align on strategies.
How do I enroll in the Academy?

Can I track which team members have enrolled or completed the course?

What should participants do after completing the course?
Participants are encouraged to review their completed worksheets and reflection questions, and then collaborate with their teams to build an action plan using the knowledge and tools provided.
Are certificates of completion provided?
Yes, a digital certificate of completion is issued once all course modules and quizzes have been completed. A grade of 70% is required to successfully complete the course and obtain certificate.
Are the courses available in other languages?
Yes. Multilingual versions of select courses can be made available upon request for an additional fee. Please email us [email protected] to initiate a translation request.
Can I recommend this course to others?
